Strategy · DP Trade Guardian

The rules stop you.

DP Trade Guardian is a discipline-enforcement strategy. It caps trades per day, forces a cooldown after every exit, restricts trading to configured days and a session window, and closes every position automatically at session end.

A traded week under the discipline rules Five day columns for Monday through Friday. Monday, Thursday and Friday are enabled by default and show two trades capped per day, a cooldown gap after each exit, and a forced flat close at session end. Fig. 1  A traded week under the default rules. Monday, Thursday and Friday are active with at most two trades and a cooldown after each exit; Tuesday and Wednesday are off. Every day, every session window and the trade cap are switchable inputs, not fixed rules. This is a diagram of the rule set, not a capture.
01 Function

Discipline, mechanically enforced

DP Trade Guardian is a backtestable TradingView strategy built around an Opening Range Breakout entry, confirmed by EMA trend alignment and an optional higher-timeframe filter. That entry engine is not what sets it apart. What sets it apart is what happens around it: a hard cap on trades per day, a mandatory cooldown after every exit, trading restricted to specific days of the week and a specific session window, and every open position closed automatically when the session ends.

Those constraints are first-class, named inputs, not side effects of a risk module buried in the settings. A trader who has a habit of overtrading or re-entering right after a loss gets those habits removed at the strategy level rather than having to rely on willpower in the moment.

It ships with Monday, Thursday and Friday enabled and a 09:30 to 11:30 ET session window as the default configuration. That is a starting point, not a rule: every day of the week and the session window are individually switchable inputs, and nothing about the strategy requires trading on any particular schedule.

02 Method

Discretion is the thing being removed

Every trading day passes through a day-of-week toggle and a session window before an entry is even considered. Inside an allowed session, a daily trade counter blocks any entry once the configured maximum (2 by default) is reached, and a cooldown counter, measured in bars since the last exit, blocks re-entry until it clears, whatever the market is doing in the meantime.

The stop-loss itself is not optional. It is set at an ATR multiple (1.5× by default) the moment a position opens and it cannot be disabled from the settings. An optional partial take-profit closes part of the position at a 1:1 reward-to-risk distance and moves the remaining stop to breakeven, and a trailing stop can take over from there. At the end of the configured session, whatever is still open is closed with a single strategy.close_all call, so no position is ever left open unattended.

$10 is an introductory price. It is what these products cost while the lines are being built out, and it is not the long-term price. What a licence buys does not change when the price does. Buy at $10 and it stays a full lifetime licence for three machines, every future version included, whatever it costs afterwards.

Activation happens once. Every launch after that is checked locally, so a studio with no internet opens normally and a licence cannot be switched off from here. Read the terms.
