Deish Media

Accessibility Statement.

Our goal, where we actually are today, and how to reach us if something on this site doesn't work for you.

Last updated 24 August 2026.

01 Goal

Our goal

We want deishmedia.com to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using assistive technology such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, or browser zoom. We're working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as our target standard.

02 Status

Where we are today

This is an honest status, not a conformance claim. The site has not yet had a full accessibility audit. The current design (in place since 24 August 2026) sets body text as near-black ink on a warm off-white page, a pairing chosen for contrast rather than the darker theme the site carried before. We've paid attention to some baseline practices as we've built it: descriptive alt text on product images, keyboard-reachable links and buttons, a visible focus outline, and a colour palette built for a light page. We haven't independently verified full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, and we don't want to claim more than we've actually checked.

There is no dark mode. The site is built as a single light theme by design (color-scheme: light), so what you see stays the same regardless of your system's theme setting.

03 Motion

Motion and reduced motion

Motion on this site is limited to three behaviours, and each one depicts a measurement rather than decorating the page: a plotted line drawing itself once, a number settling to its final value once, and a hairline rule extending to mark a section. None of them repeat, fade up, stagger, or move with your pointer, and the page has no background texture or grain overlay.

Every one of them respects your system's reduced-motion setting. With prefers-reduced-motion: reduce turned on, each element renders straight in its finished state, with no animation at all. The page is fully readable and complete with JavaScript turned off, as it always has been.

04 Contact

If something doesn't work for you

If you run into an accessibility barrier anywhere on this site (a page that doesn't work with your screen reader, a control you can't reach by keyboard, contrast that's hard to read, or anything else), please tell us. A specific report is something we can act on quickly.

Email deishmedia@gmail.com with what page you were on and what happened, and we'll look into it.
