Draw the riser. Drag it in.
A riser synth where every knob is a line you draw across the build. Set the length in bars, sketch the motion on the waveform, and drag the finished FX straight onto a track.

Every knob is a line over the build
A lane is one knob's value across the pass. Draw it on the canvas, over the waveform of the sound you are making, and the knob follows it. Turn the lane off and the knob is exactly where you left it.
Click, drag, bend
Click to add a point, drag to move it, drag a segment up or down to bend the curve between two points. Snap to a bar, a half, a quarter, an eighth or a sixteenth, or hold Alt to place freely. The readout shows the value in the knob's own units: Hz, semitones, percent.
Start from the knob
Right-click any knob and choose to draw its automation. The lane appears, selected, and the knob grows a coloured ring so you can see at a glance what is moving.
The picture is the sound
The canvas draws the rendered pass, release and FX tail, and redraws it as you change anything. What you see, what you hear and what you drag out come from the same render.
Saved with everything
Lanes save with presets and with your session, and every edit is one step of undo, including loading a preset.
One curve that moves four knobs
A BUILD lane drives no knob of its own. You route it to up to eight knobs, each with its own amount and curve, so one drawn rise opens the filter, lifts the reverb and tightens the gate together.
MOTION on any lane
A lane can carry a repeating movement on top of its drawn curve, with its own depth and rate curves. Draw the rate from a quarter note to a thirty-second and the wobble accelerates into the drop without a single phase jump.
Locked to your session
Length is in bars and follows the host's tempo and time signature, so a sixteen-bar build is sixteen bars at any BPM. Switch to Time mode for a length in milliseconds (20 ms to 4 s) when the FX is a hit rather than a build.
A synth first, then the motion
The shelf under the canvas is a complete synth, one card per section, each with its own on/off lamp.
OSC A and OSC B
Sine, triangle, saw, square, pulse and Shepard, with up to sixteen unison voices, stack shapes from octaves to a rising fan, and phase warps from hard sync to steps.
SAWPULSESHEPARD8 VOICESWARP
SUB and NOISE
A sub one or two octaves down, and a noise source in five colours (white, pink, brown, blue, violet), static or pitched, with its own filter for the classic white-noise sweep.
5 COLOURSPITCHEDLP / HP / BP
FILTER
Low-pass 12 and 24, high-pass, band-pass and a tuned comb, with drive, key tracking and a morph control. The cutoff is the lane most risers start with.
LP 24HP 12BPCOMB
TREMOLO, AMP and the tail
A tempo-synced tremolo for gated builds, then volume, pan, a release of up to ten seconds and a choice of tail: let it ring, cut it, or loop. A reverse switch plays the whole pass backwards.
1/1 TO 1/64RINGLOOPREVERSE
Eight stages on the end of the pass
The FX bar folds the shelf away and shows the chain: HEAT, GRIT, SCULPT, SWEEP, MOTION, PRESS, ECHO and SPACE. Each stage has its own enable, and FX knobs carry lanes too.
HEAT, GRIT, SCULPT, SWEEP
Nine saturation shapes from tape to hard clip; fold, bit crush and sample-rate reduction; an EQ; and a filter with clean, DJ, ladder and four more characters.
MOTION, PRESS, ECHO, SPACE
Jet, phaser and ensemble; four compressors; a synced echo with tape wow; and plate, room or hall reverb that can freeze at the release.
Drag the finished FX into your project
The DRAG pill renders the pass, its release and the FX tail until it is silent, as a 24-bit WAV at your session's sample rate, and hands it to the DAW. Drop it on a track and it sits on the grid like any other audio.
Each drag writes a new file to
Documents/Deish Media/Ryza Renders, so nothing you dragged earlier is ever
overwritten. Play it live from MIDI instead and it is the same engine: one note plays one
pass.
107 presets, eighteen kinds of transition
Classic up-lifters, downlifters, noise sweeps, Shepard tones, gated builds, impacts, sub drops and zaps, whooshes, reverses and beds, each one a starting point with its lanes already drawn.

Questions
Is it an effect or an instrument?
An instrument. It makes the sound itself, so it goes on its own MIDI track and has no audio input. One note plays one pass; the on-screen pad plays it without a keyboard.
Do I have to play it, or can I just drag audio out?
Either. Drag the pill for a rendered WAV on the grid, or play it from MIDI and print it later. Both come from the same engine, so they match.
What happens when I change the tempo?
A length in bars stays that many bars, because the pass follows the host's tempo and time signature. Time mode keeps a fixed length in milliseconds instead.
Can it make downlifters and impacts, or only risers?
All of them. 15 of the 107 presets are downlifters, 7 are impacts, and there are sub drops, zaps, whooshes and reverses. Reverse flips any pass.
Does it work on a Mac?
Yes. The signed and notarized macOS installer has VST3, AU and the standalone app for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, and one licence covers Windows and macOS machines alike.
Will it clip my master?
An output guard (clip or limit) sits on the very end of the chain and is on by default. It is never stored in a preset, so loading one cannot switch it off.
