A clap is hands. Place every one.
A clap synth that builds the clap the way a room full of hands does: separate taps, a little apart, then the tail. Blend in a one-shot under it and drag the finished hit out.

Taps, tone, tail
Palma plays two to six hand taps, spreads them in time, and lets HUMANIZE move each one a little on every hit. A band of noise gives them their tone, and a separate tail is the room they were clapped in.

TAPS
How many hands, how far apart, and how loose. HUMANIZE re-rolls the timing of every tap on every hit, so a clap on every beat never repeats exactly.
TONE and TAIL
The band the hands sit in and how wide it is, tap decay for the hands themselves, then tail decay and level for the room, from dry to a long hall.
Sweep and accent
SWEEP starts the band up to 24 semitones away and lands it on TONE in 5 to 500 ms, the falling zip of a drum-machine clap. ACCENT makes the first hand the loudest.
Width and dirt
WIDTH spreads the hands across the stereo field. DIRT drives the band into saturation for claps that need to cut through a loud mix.
A synth on top, a sample underneath
Layer A is the synth. Layer B is a sample with its own envelope, start point, punch and reverse. One slider blends them, and SOLO A or SOLO B lets you hear either on its own while you shape it.
The picture is the finished hit
The waveform you shape on is the synth and the sample summed and run through the whole FX strip, redrawn as you move any control. You see what the compressor and the reverb did before you hear it.
Real recorded samples, or yours
Most factory presets put a real recorded one-shot from the built-in library (75 of them in Palma) under the synth, tuned and filtered to sit with it. Drag your own WAV onto layer B to use yours instead.
Drag the hit out
Drag the finished hit onto a track as a 24-bit WAV at your session rate, with the FX printed. Each drag is a new file in Documents/Deish Media/Palma Renders.
Every hit a little different
VARY nudges each hit so a roll does not sound like one sample repeated. Velocity sets how hard the hit lands, and PIANO plays it chromatically across the keyboard.
Eight stages, already on the channel
HEAT, GRIT, SCULPT, SWEEP, MOTION, PRESS, RELAY and SPACE: the same family of engines as Base6ix and Ryza, on the end of the drum, each with its own enable.

Roll the die
DICE takes the synth from one preset, the sample from another and the FX from a third. Right-click it to choose which parts it may change. A roll you like is one Save away, and a roll you do not is one undo.

A preset browser with categories, your own presets saved by name, a saved default for new instances, and undo for every edit and every preset load.

Questions
Is it a sample player?
No. Layer A synthesises every hit from oscillators and noise as you play it. Layer B adds a sample underneath when you want one, and you can turn it down to nothing.
Does it work on a Mac?
Yes. The signed and notarized macOS installer has VST3, AU and the standalone app for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, and one licence covers Windows and macOS machines alike.
Will a clap on every beat sound robotic?
Not unless you want it to. HUMANIZE moves each tap slightly on every hit and VARY nudges the hit as a whole. Set both to zero for a machine-tight clap.
Can it do snaps and hand percussion?
Yes. Snaps and hand percs are two of the nine preset categories: fewer taps, a short tail and a brighter band.
